Job Summary:
Are you detail-oriented and skilled in inventory management? Our Austin, Texas location is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing procedures to minimize loss and optimize stock rotation. A strong analytical mindset and a commitment to accuracy are vital for this position. This role requires a deep understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Identify and manage slow-moving or obsolete stock.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records in the inventory management system.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE during inventory activities.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and diligent use of PPE.
