As a Material Handler, your primary focus will be on safely and efficiently transferring materials using various equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Stage materials for production, picking, packing, and shipping departments.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all materials to prevent damage.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and use required PPE.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to optimize workflow.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or operating forklifts (certification preferred).
- Ability to handle physical demands, including frequent lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including proper use of PPE.
