Are you a meticulous and efficient individual looking for a Picker/Packer role in Austin, Texas? We're hiring to support our expanding logistics operations. In this position, you'll be essential in ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. Your responsibilities will include locating items in the warehouse, verifying quantities, and using appropriate packaging materials to protect goods during transit. This role demands a strong focus on detail, speed, and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Select products from inventory based on order requests, utilizing pick lists or scanners.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Package products securely and appropriately for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Assemble shipping containers and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area according to warehouse standards.
- Strictly follow all safety regulations and protocols, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Contribute to meeting daily picking and packing targets.
- Support the overall logistics flow of the warehouse.
- Perform other warehouse duties as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Picker/Packer or similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the critical role of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
