Join our team as a Picker/Packer in Indianapolis, Indiana! We are seeking detail-oriented individuals to fulfill customer orders with speed and accuracy. In this essential role within our logistics hub, you will be responsible for selecting items from our inventory and preparing them for shipment. This includes accurately locating products, verifying quantities, and packaging them appropriately to ensure they reach our customers safely. The work environment is dynamic, requiring both efficiency and a strong adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently pick customer orders from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify product accuracy against order slips and use RF scanners.
- Pack items securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage.
- Assemble boxes and prepare shipments for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company safety standards and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with receiving and stocking duties as needed.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the logistics process.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking and packing is beneficial.
- Capability to handle frequent lifting of items up to 45 lbs.
- Strong focus on accuracy and detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic math and reading skills.
