This critical role supports the entire warehouse operation by ensuring the smooth and safe movement of goods. You will be responsible for operating equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, physically capable, and detail-oriented. We maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, which includes the mandatory use of PPE and strict adherence to all safety regulations. - Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials onto and from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from various warehouse locations, such as receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Assist with organizing and staging inventory to optimize space and accessibility.
- Ensure all materials are handled, stacked, and secured properly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to logistics and safety.
Previous experience as a Material Handler is required. Forklift operation experience is essential; certification is a strong asset. Must be physically fit and able to perform frequent and heavy lifting. A solid understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures is necessary. Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Must be committed to following all safety protocols and wearing required PPE at all times.
