As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, moving materials to and from designated areas, and ensuring inventory accuracy. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. You will be expected to operate various material handling equipment and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Expect to engage in frequent Lifting of materials up to 50 lbs. Understanding and adhering to all Safety guidelines is paramount. This role is key to our overall Logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and trailers.
- Moving materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Verifying counts and identifying damaged goods.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Assisting with inventory counts and checks.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE .
- Performing Lifting and carrying of materials as required by the job duties.
- Supporting the overall Logistics flow of the warehouse.
- Ensuring a safe working environment for all team members through strict adherence to Safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Understanding of basic math and inventory principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE .
