About
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator in Des Moines, Iowa, to manage the movement of materials within our distribution center. This role is vital for our **Logistics** operations, ensuring timely and safe handling of goods. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move, stack, and organize inventory, as well as assist with general warehouse duties.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Perform pre-operation checks on all equipment to ensure **Safety** and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking as needed.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all **Safety** guidelines and wear appropriate **PPE**.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle checks.
- Ensure efficient workflow within the **Logistics** department.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse **Safety** procedures.
- Ability to perform **Lifting** up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of **Logistics** and inventory management.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and able to work flexible schedules.
- Must wear provided **PPE**.
