Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. This role is crucial to our daily operations and requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will be part of a fast-paced logistics operation, contributing directly to the smooth flow of goods. This position involves significant Lifting and requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials.
  • Inspect and perform minor maintenance on forklifts before and after use.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE at all times.
  • Pick and stage orders for shipment accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper placement of inventory.
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
  • Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Respond to other duties as assigned by warehouse management, contributing to overall logistics success.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of Safety protocols and procedures.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work flexible hours if required.
