About
Our Houston, Texas facility is looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team. This role is fundamental to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management systems, ensuring seamless operations. The Inventory Control Specialist will conduct regular audits, cycle counts, and physical inventories to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies. You will be instrumental in implementing procedures to minimize shrinkage and optimize inventory flow. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, analytical abilities, and a meticulous attention to detail. Working collaboratively with warehouse staff, receiving, and shipping departments is essential. We are committed to a safe work environment, and all team members are expected to understand and follow all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The successful candidate will be proficient in using inventory management software and possess strong problem-solving skills. Experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is highly preferred. This is a key role in ensuring the efficiency and profitability of our distribution operations. Responsibilities include generating reports, recommending process improvements, and ensuring the integrity of our stock.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory data in the WMS.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory issues.
- Maintain organized inventory storage areas.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Analyze inventory data and suggest improvements.
- Assist with tasks that may involve lifting and moving stock, following safety guidelines.
