As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility, utilizing various types of forklifts and other heavy equipment. Your role is crucial to maintaining the smooth flow of our logistics operations, from receiving to shipping. We are deeply committed to workplace Safety , providing extensive training, and requiring the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ). This position involves operating heavy machinery and requires alertness, precision, and the ability to handle the frequent lifting and maneuvering of items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and warehouse storage areas.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after each shift for safety and operational issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away, retrieval, and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all Safety protocols.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while operating equipment or in designated zones.
- Follow all logistics procedures and work instructions precisely.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, damages, or safety hazards immediately to supervisors.
- Contribute to team efforts and assist other warehouse personnel as needed.
