The Associate Applications Analyst is responsible for application/project support as well as applying new or existing technologies and solutions to solve business needs. Works with IT and business teams to determine requirements, system needs, support existing production systems and the execution of projects. Participates in cross-functional meetings and working sessions to address issues. Determines best practices and suggests how to improve current practices. Assesses requirements and prepares implementation and transition plans. Additionally, this position will work with IT Finance to ensure fiscal responsibility and efficiency are maintained through our budgeting, planning, monthly forecast processes. The base salary range for this role is $68,640 $109,200. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location. Participate in projects throughout the entire systems development life cycle including: Coordinate the efforts of internal and external staff in the support of existing systems and in the execution of assigned project Collaborate with other teams, within IT and the business, to ensure timely and successful delivery and/or issue resolution Manage meetings, issue resolution & escalation, during the lifecycle of assigned project Create status reports and lead status meetings Create documentation Prepare estimates, budget, and forecast as needed for assigned project Manage the order processing, shipment tracking, and receipt of equipment as needed for assigned project Track invoices and manage payment processing as needed for assigned project New Store Opening Support Prepare and maintain financial documentation for IT New Store Openings including but not limited to the building and managing of monthly cashflow and forecasts. Assist during the planning of annual and 5-Year Plan budgets for New Store openings by understanding the business drivers and using that information to work with IT Finance to accurately predict costs and timing of spend Assists in the development and design of new business processes and the elaboration and updating of existing business processes within IT New Stores portfolio Participates in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projects within IT New Stores portfolio Assist in the automation IT New Store processes Track that New Store Openings are completed on time and budget People Building Effective Teams Developing Talent Collaboration Leading by Example Communicates Effectively Ensures Accountability and Execution Manages Conflict Business Business Acumen Plans, Aligns and Prioritizes Organizational Agility With particular emphasis on the following specific position-related competencies: Problem Solving Dealing with Ambiguity Analysis and Judgement Customer Focus Qualifications and Special Skills Required: Undergraduate college required 2+ years prior work experience Detail oriented, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Analytical ability must be able to synthesize data, be able to error check and reconcile own work and be able to design analysis to answer specific questions. Team oriented, yet able to work independently A continual desire and capability to learn Build relationships with a wide variety of internal contacts. Ability to effectively communicate and partner with multiple levels from peer to Senior Leaders and vendors. Proficient with Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.). Proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Knowledge of Retail IT Store systems infrastructure Analytical & critical thinking skills Demonstrated ability to execute financial analysis such as ROI, variance analysis, etc. Verbal and written communication skills; outstanding listening skills and ability to effectively follow instructions Ability to effectively communicate at various levels of the organization Able to articulate issues, build consensus around recommendations, and define next steps Physical Requirements/ADA: Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc. Consistent timeliness and regular attendance. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically. This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
