We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy distribution center in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in the movement of goods throughout our warehouse, ensuring timely and safe handling of materials. You'll operate various types of forklifts to load, unload, and transport products, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and stacking of products.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures, utilizing required PPE at all times.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to good housekeeping practices.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the warehouse logistics flow.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and uphold a strong safety culture.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with warehouse staff.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as needed.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment within our logistics operations.
