About
Our distribution center in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our team. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of goods. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will engage in a variety of tasks including receiving inventory, stocking shelves, picking and packing customer orders, and preparing shipments for delivery. You will be responsible for maintaining an organized and safe working environment, operating warehouse equipment, and adhering to all company policies and procedures. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting and moving of products. We are committed to the safety of our employees and require the consistent use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses and gloves. A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. You will work closely with a team to meet daily operational goals and contribute to the overall efficiency of our distribution network. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload shipments accurately.
- Stock merchandise onto shelves and into storage locations.
- Pick items for customer orders with precision.
- Pack orders securely for shipment.
- Prepare outgoing shipments and ensure proper labeling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Operate material handling equipment safely.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle checks.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform regular Lifting and moving of products up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented and a willingness to help others.
- Understanding of safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Basic computer skills are a plus.
