We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy warehouse located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that the right products get to the right place at the right time. You'll utilize scanning technology to track inventory and will need to be efficient and precise in your work. This is a physically demanding position that requires stamina and attention to detail. Maintaining a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and using the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) is a top priority. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select products from warehouse locations based on pick lists and scanner data.
- Verify product details and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items for the packing and shipping departments.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or product damage immediately.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE throughout the shift.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as directed.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and product labels. Experience with RF scanning technology. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods. Physical ability to walk, bend, reach, and stoop throughout the workday. A strong commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. Excellent attention to detail and a focus on accuracy. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of warehouse logistics is a plus.
