Our Miami, Florida distribution center is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates. As a Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to safety standards. This role demands strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management. You will be responsible for training new staff, monitoring performance, managing schedules, and implementing operational improvements. A key aspect of this role is fostering a culture of safety, ensuring all team members utilize proper PPE and follow established safety protocols. Your expertise will be vital in optimizing workflows, reducing errors, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order fulfillment. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement within the logistics environment. You will play a critical role in the smooth functioning of our distribution operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing output. This role involves overseeing tasks that require significant lifting and the safe operation of various material handling equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse associates.
- Develop and implement efficient work schedules and operational procedures.
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through effective management systems.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Manage the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a strong safety culture.
- Achieve operational objectives by contributing operational data and analysis to strategic plans.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS).
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and a commitment to safety, including proper PPE usage.
- Physical ability to oversee operations and occasionally assist with tasks requiring lifting.
