Our state-of-the-art distribution center in Baltimore, Maryland is looking for dedicated Distribution Center Associates. This comprehensive role involves a variety of tasks critical to our logistics and supply chain operations. You will be involved in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping a wide range of products, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety at every step. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory, verifying against manifests.
- Stock and organize merchandise in designated warehouse locations using appropriate methods.
- Accurately pick products for customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Pack orders with care, ensuring proper materials are used to prevent damage during transit.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, applying labels and staging items correctly.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to established procedures.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock management activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics operations.
- Perform physical tasks requiring consistent effort, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics role preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Capability of lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency with RF scanning technology and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A strong understanding of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
