As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for transporting raw materials, finished goods, and other inventory items efficiently and safely. Your role is critical to maintaining the flow of goods through our logistics operations. This position requires a valid forklift certification and proven experience. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure timely order fulfillment and accurate inventory management. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas, such as storage racks, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Stack and store materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and safety.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and put-away processes.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
