We are seeking a diligent and efficient Order Picker to join our thriving warehouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this fast-paced role, you will be instrumental in ensuring customer orders are accurately and promptly fulfilled. Your daily tasks will involve navigating the warehouse, identifying and retrieving specified products from shelves, verifying quantities, and preparing items for packing and shipping. This position requires a high level of accuracy, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform physical tasks, including substantial Lifting . Maintaining a safe working environment is our top priority; therefore, adherence to all Safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE is non-negotiable. You will be a key player in our Logistics chain, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or scanner data.
- Verify product codes, quantities, and descriptions against order requirements.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory and update order status.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or shipping areas.
- Package items securely and appropriately for transit.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness within the picking zones.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety procedures and wear required PPE .
- Support the smooth functioning of our warehouse Logistics .
- Perform frequent Lifting of boxes and items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Communicate any stock discrepancies or issues to a supervisor promptly.
- Participate in inventory control activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking, packing, or a general warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order documents and product labels.
- Physical capability to perform tasks involving walking, standing, bending, and Lifting regularly.
- Awareness of warehouse Safety best practices and the correct usage of PPE .
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent time management and ability to meet performance targets.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations is a plus.
