We are hiring an Order Picker to join our busy warehouse team in Phoenix, Arizona. Your primary responsibility will be accurately and efficiently selecting products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations and requires speed, accuracy, and a strong focus on safety. Responsibilities:
- Read pick lists or scan order forms to identify items to be picked.
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves and storage locations.
- Accurately count items to ensure the correct quantity is picked.
- Operate pallet jacks, order pickers, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Stage picked orders in designated areas for packing and shipment.
- Ensure picked items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, keeping aisles clear and free of obstructions.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in regular inventory checks and cycle counts as needed.
- Report any damaged items or inventory discrepancies to a supervisor.
- Meet or exceed established picking quotas while maintaining accuracy.
- Follow proper Lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as directed by supervisors, contributing to the overall logistics flow.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred but not required. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Basic math skills for counting. Familiarity with warehouse scanning equipment is a plus. Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Must be committed to safety and wearing required PPE. Understanding of basic logistics principles is beneficial.
