We are seeking reliable Order Pickers to join our dynamic logistics facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your efficiency and accuracy are critical to our operational success. The ideal candidate is organized, pays close attention to detail, and is committed to upholding high standards of safety. We provide all necessary training and expect our team members to consistently follow safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select products from designated warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details to ensure correct fulfillment.
- Inspect picked items for any damage or defects before proceeding to packing.
- Transport picked items to the packing station.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all warehouse safety guidelines.
- Operate manual equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks as required for inventory movement.
- Participate in regular inventory checks and cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety in logistics.
- Wear required PPE, including safety footwear and vests, at all times on the warehouse floor.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and fulfillment goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
- Capability of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to strictly adhere to all safety regulations and use of PPE.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics context.
