About
We are seeking experienced Material Handlers to join our advanced logistics operations in San Jose, California. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement of materials and products throughout our warehouse, utilizing various types of equipment to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. This role requires proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery. Safety is our top priority; you will be expected to adhere strictly to all safety regulations and utilize all required PPE. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and components to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming materials, ensuring accurate placement and inventory records.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including staging, labeling, and loading onto trucks.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all logistics safety standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management as needed.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear and use all required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
