This role is multifaceted, involving a range of tasks critical to the efficient functioning of our logistics hub. Responsibilities include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing inventory. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent attention to detail. A commitment to workplace safety is essential, which includes the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhering to safe Lifting practices. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Stock and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or operational issues.
- Perform tasks involving manual Lifting and movement of goods.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety protocols.
- A strong commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
