This essential role supports the smooth operation of our distribution center by ensuring materials are moved, organized, and prepared for shipment efficiently and safely. The Material Handler will operate various equipment, load and unload trucks, and maintain accurate inventory records. A key focus will be on adhering to all safety procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and practicing safe Lifting techniques to prevent injuries. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a vital part in our supply chain, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and containers.
- Operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.) safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
- Perform duties that involve manual Lifting and movement of goods.
- Contribute to overall team goals and logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate basic material handling equipment.
- Capable of performing tasks requiring physical exertion and manual Lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must be reliable and have a strong attendance record.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
