Job Summary:
Are you a skilled Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee? We are seeking experienced individuals to join our logistics team and ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products. This role is critical for maintaining smooth warehouse operations and supporting our logistics network. Safety is our top priority, and we require all operators to strictly adhere to safety procedures and consistently use the appropriate PPE. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently to move materials.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods.
  • Transport materials to and from designated storage areas and production lines.
  • Stack and stage products in assigned locations, maintaining a safe and organized warehouse.
  • Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
  • Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and traffic regulations.
  • Ensure correct use of PPE at all times, including safety vests and hard hats where applicable.
  • Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA).
  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of materials up to 30 lbs.
  • Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to wear and utilize all required PPE.
  • Familiarity with different types of racking systems and material handling equipment.
