Join our dynamic logistics team as a Distribution Center Associate in Chicago, Illinois! This role is integral to our daily operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods. You will be involved in a range of warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping preparation. Success in this position requires physical capability, attention to detail, and a strong team spirit. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and efficiency are paramount. Your responsibilities will include:
- Accurately receiving and processing incoming inventory.
- Picking and packing customer orders according to specifications.
- Loading and unloading trailers, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Organizing and maintaining inventory within the warehouse, utilizing FIFO principles where applicable.
- Operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Ensuring the workspace is clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards.
- Conducting regular inventory checks and reporting discrepancies.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies to minimize risks.
- Collaborating with colleagues to meet daily shipping and receiving targets.
- This role involves regular physical activity, including moderate to heavy Lifting, up to 40 pounds.
