We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler for our facility in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods throughout our warehouse. Your responsibilities will encompass receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials, utilizing forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively. We place a high priority on Safety, mandating the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strict adherence to all safety regulations. This position requires physical stamina for frequent Lifting and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. - Loading and unloading materials from incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transporting materials to and from various warehouse locations, including storage and production areas.
- Verifying the accuracy of materials received against shipping documents.
- Storing materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Picking materials according to production or order requirements.
- Packing materials securely for internal transfers or external shipments.
- Performing routine checks and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Adhering to all Safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment to prevent hazards.
- Assisting with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
This role involves regular Lifting of items up to 50 pounds and requires the ability to operate forklifts and other equipment safely. A strong understanding of logistics principles is beneficial.
