Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team in Austin, Texas, as a Receiving Clerk! This pivotal role is responsible for managing the incoming flow of goods into our logistics facility. You will accurately receive, inspect, and record all incoming shipments, ensuring that inventory is processed efficiently and correctly. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying delivery contents against purchase orders, and reporting any discrepancies or damages. A strong commitment to safety is essential; all employees must follow strict protocols and use required personal protective equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess good organizational skills, and have experience in a warehouse or logistics environment. Proficiency in using scanning equipment and basic computer skills are beneficial. We are looking for a reliable individual who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team, contributing to the overall efficiency of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders or packing lists.
  • Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
  • Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
  • Unload delivery trucks using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified).
  • Organize and stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in using RF scanners and basic computer applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player.
