We are seeking an efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is essential for ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. The Order Picker will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanning devices. You will work within our fast-paced distribution center, contributing to the smooth flow of operations. This position requires attention to detail, speed, and the ability to work independently while meeting productivity targets. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment, which may involve varying temperatures and requires physical stamina. Safety is paramount, and all employees are expected to strictly adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Familiarity with warehouse equipment and inventory systems is a plus. The role involves regular lifting and movement of products, so the ability to lift items safely and efficiently is necessary. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Use RF scanners and other technology to track picked items.
- Ensure picked items are staged correctly for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory immediately.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing PPE.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy goals.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
- Perform tasks that involve lifting and moving products, following safe lifting techniques.
