This role is field-based, covering Bolton and surrounding areas, making it an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career!

As an Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer , you will:

• Develop expertise in HVAC systems, preparing to become a fully qualified Service Technician.
• Work with cutting-edge technology while receiving mentorship from experienced professionals.
• Engage in customer site visits, shadowing qualified Technicians.
• Learn about refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Install complete HVAC solutions, including temporary hoses, cables, and ancillaries.
• Assist in troubleshooting and supporting technically challenging breakdowns, both in person and remotely.
• Work on electrical power supplies, control panels, pumps, and water hydraulics.
• Gain knowledge of digital control systems and basic Building Management Systems (BMS).

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English, Science, Maths, and ICT OR Engineering.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A keen desire to learn, ask questions, and get involved.
• Good written English skills.
• An interest in engineering, heating systems, and low-carbon technologies like heat pumps.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, confidence, and excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
