As an Apprentice Electrician, you’ll dive into the world of electrical installations, gaining the skills needed to become a fully qualified Electrician. Your primary focus will be on:

• Maintaining our fleet of mobile/transportable steam and hot water boiler systems.
• Conducting inspections and testing in accordance with BS7671.
• Developing knowledge of control wiring to enhance your fault-finding abilities.

Here’s a glimpse of your exciting responsibilities:

• Working on industrial steam/hot water boiler systems.
• Wiring and testing various types of motors and pumps.
• Participating in customer site visits alongside qualified Technicians.
• Learning about various electrical installations, including mobile/transportable and fixed wiring.
• Contributing to refurbishment projects on steam boilers.
• Assisting in troubleshooting and supporting technically challenging breakdowns.
• Working on electrical power supplies and control panels.
• Exploring digital control systems and basic Building Management Systems (BMS).

We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English, Science, and Maths.
• A driving license is desirable, with the expectation of obtaining one by the second year of the apprenticeship.
• A keen learner who is eager to ask questions and get involved.
• Good written English skills.
• An interest in electrical engineering, heating systems, steam boiler systems, and control panels.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
