Your Role

As an Apprentice Electrician, you’ll dive into the world of electrical installations, gaining the skills needed to become a fully qualified Electrician. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Working on industrial steam and hot water boiler systems.
  • Wiring and testing various types of motors and pumps.
  • Participating in customer site visits, shadowing qualified Technicians.
  • Learning about different electrical installations, including mobile and fixed wiring.
  • Contributing to refurbishment projects on steam boilers.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and supporting technically challenging breakdowns.
  • Working on electrical power supplies and control panels.
  • Exploring digital control systems and basic Building Management Systems (BMS).
What We’re Looking For
  • Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English, Science, and Maths.
  • A driving licence is desirable, with the expectation to obtain one by the second year of the apprenticeship.
  • A keen learner who is eager to ask questions and get involved.
  • Good written English skills.
  • An interest in electrical engineering, heating systems, and control panels.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
