Description: Kellogg Community Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Processor role! The Mortgage Processor role is a critical position for the organization as it assists the organization in achieving sales, service, and operational goals. The position is responsible for processing first mortgage and home equity loan applications from initial submission through closing. This role ensures complete, accurate, and compliant loan files by collecting and reviewing documentation, ordering third-party services, and communicating with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and title companies. The Mortgage Processor supports timely loan approvals while maintaining excellent service and adherence to regulatory and investor guidelines. Responsibilities: Home Equity Loan processing Ordering and reviewing title work and appraisals Escrow set up and calculation Flood requirements Basic understanding of mortgage supporting documentation Basic understanding of escrow analysis Home equity mortgage recordings and discharges Home Equity Line of Credit maintenance Assists with the processing of first mortgages as needed to support the department Regulatory requirements as they relate to home equity and mortgage products Queue management Effective communication with Loan Officers and borrowers Provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members. Keep management informed regarding operating issues affecting the department Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements: Qualifications : A minimum of one year experience in a similar capacity, ability to motivate and influence others, ability to meet and exceed established goals, basic understanding of mortgage terms and products a plus.
