Border Enforcement Officer

Duties include detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws. Inspectors must verify citizenship or detect violations to prevent undocumented noncitizens from entering the country.

• The job requires using surveillance techniques, performing farm checks, building checks, traffic stops, city patrols, transportation checks and patrolling borders and coastal waterways.

Inspectors are required to be proficient in Spanish language skills as part of their training.
