For our location in Eppelheim, we are looking for an Intern in Procurement with a focus on Packaging and AI Applications from May 1st, 2026 to December 31st, 2026.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support packaging procurement (foils, cardboard, closures, straws, tertiary packaging), including data collection, quotation analysis, and supplier comparisons
  • Prepare and analyze RFQs, cost structures, and supplier benchmarks
  • Contribute to packaging projects (e.g. cost reduction, sustainability initiatives, material changes), including sample coordination and documentation
  • Maintain master data, supplier information, price lists, and contract overviews
  • Support the identification, structuring, and implementation of AI use cases in Procurement, including participation in small AI prototypes and pilots (e.g. automated reports, supplier summaries, trend analyses, spreadsheet automation)
  • Contribute to AI workflows (datasets, prompts, testing of tools such as Copilot/generative AI) and documentation of processes, guidelines, and best practices
  • Work closely with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Global Procurement, including preparation of presentations and decision papers for management

YOUR PROFILE

  • Ongoing studies in Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or similar
  • Strong analytical skills and confident use of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Interest in packaging materials, sustainability, procurement, and AI-driven optimization
  • High affinity for digital tools and AI applications
  • Very good English skills (written and spoken); German is an advantage
  • Structured, reliable, and proactive working style
  • Initiative, curiosity, and strong willingness to learn
