We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our dynamic eye care team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and deliver exceptional patient care. *Duties*
* Conduct thorough eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and overall eye function.
* Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, and pediatric ocular issues.
* Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, or referrals to specialists as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
* Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens care, and preventive measures to promote long-term ocular wellness.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
* Stay current with advancements in Ophthalmology and optometric practices through ongoing education and professional development.
*Requirements*
* Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with current certification to practice in the designated region.
* Proven experience in Ophthalmology or general optometry practice, including pediatric patient care.
* Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy of the eye, and medical terminology related to ocular health.
* Familiarity with medical coding procedures for billing purposes and managing medical records efficiently.
* Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management.
* Excellent customer service skills combined with sales acumen to recommend appropriate eyewear or treatment options confidently.
* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times.
