We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory within our warehouse. Your duties will include maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize losses. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics is essential. This position requires a meticulous approach to detail and a commitment to upholding our high standards of accuracy and efficiency. Safety is paramount in our operations, and you will play a key role in ensuring inventory processes are conducted safely, including adherence to PPE requirements and safe lifting practices.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels in the WMS.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Manage receiving and put-away processes to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Train and mentor junior inventory staff.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
