Plumbing and Heating Engineer

Due to the continued success and growth of the company over the last few years, Tommy's plumbing & heating are currently looking to recruit a qualified Plumber to join a well-established and growing local company.

Tommy's plumbing & heating is a well-established company based in Christchurch, Dorset.

We specialise in natural gas, and ashp heating installation, servicing and maintenance as well as general plumbing, and bathroom installations accross Dorset and Hampshire.

The role sits primarily within our service department and would be extremely varied, but the key tasks would include:

Reactive and planned maintenance such as boiler services and breakdown.

Fault finding and diagnostics not limited to gas boilers.

Installing or maintaining heating systems, including underfloor heating.

Repairing sanitation systems within the property.

Installing domestic appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers and water softeners.

Installing bathrooms including aqua panels and fitted bathroom furniture.

Emergency plumbing repairs to any of the above and more.

Key qualifications and requirements would include:

3+ years experience of general plumbing.

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.

Unvented G3 qualification desirable but training can be provided.

Gas safe registered desiresble but not essential.

Strong attention to detail is paramount.

Good communication skills with the ability to work alongside others and other trade's if on site.

Used to working to a program of works and to manage deadlines.

Organised with the ability to prioritise own workload and work proactively.

Valid, clean UK drivers licence.

Experience working in customer-occupied properties and dealing with customers with a strong customer and solution focused mindset.

Willingness to work within in a call out service (additional payments to be made).
