1. OVERVIEW OF DIANA
NATO DIANA is the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic, a NATO body dedicated to finding and accelerating innovation to provide decisive defence and security effects for the Alliance, while fostering deep-tech innovation.
NATO DIANA is comprised of a Board of Directors, representing all 32 nations, and an operational team referred to as the DIANA Executive ("DX"). Operating from three offices in Europe and North America, the DX leverages a network of military end users, world-leading accelerator sites, test centres, professional mentors and experts, and Allied expertise to accelerate the most innovative technologies from across the NATO Alliance. 2. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Project Officers provide support to projects and workstreams, applying project management and data analytics skills to help deliver on key projects and initiatives. Project Officers work flexibly across different workstreams and projects over time.
Initially the Project Officer will support the TEVV (Testing, Evaluation, Verification, Validation) Team:
The Project Officer plays a central role in delivering testing, evaluation, verification, and validation activities across the DIANA innovation ecosystem. The role drives key elements of the TEVV workstream by managing complex information, preparing and maintaining high-quality TEVV documentation, and ensuring Test Centre capability data is accurate, accessible, and operationally useful for innovators.
Working closely with affiliated Test Centres, and innovators, the Project Officer ensures TEVV processes run smoothly and that stakeholders receive clear, reliable information to progress technologies toward adoption. The role advances TEVV applications and reporting, resolves operational issues, and leads to the development and refinement of tools, workflows, and resources within its areas of responsibility.
Positioned as a hands-on expert within the team, the Project Officer strengthens network engagement, upholds TEVV standards, and ensures the consistency and quality of the workstream.

Reporting to the Test Centre Manager.
Duties of this role include:
Develop and maintain structured, repeatable processes for collecting, validating, storing, and managing data related to DIANA's Test Centre Network, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Shape and maintain standardized onboarding procedures for new Test Centres, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with DIANA requirements, and respond to Test Centre enquiries to ensure a positive and informed user experience.
Manage the TEVV CRM, including Test Centre profiles and the full TEVV documentation pipeline, ensuring information is up to date and properly governed.
Contribute to the design and refinement of the innovator application process and support the facilitation of the grant committee review cycle.
Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for TEVV-related activities, ensuring all processes are codified, scalable, and consistently applied.
Monitor TEVV processes, pathways, and infrastructure; identify improvement opportunities; and document lessons learned to strengthen future delivery.
Prepare contingency plans to address issues affecting TEVV information management within DIANA and across the stakeholder ecosystem.
Aggregate and analyse programme performance data, reporting risks, milestones, and insights to the DX through established mechanisms, and proposing evidence-based mitigation options.
Support other DIANA initiatives and projects as required.
Perform any other related duties as required.
3. ROLE REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
The incumbent must have:
A Bachelor's degree from a nationally recognised/certified university in a relevant field and at least 2 years of post-related experience.
Exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated with a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in duties related to the function of the post.
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in roles involving data management, digital operations, project coordination, or information governance.
A minimum of 2 years of practical experience applying project management methodologies.
Proficiency with project management, collaboration and CRM software (e.g., MS Project, CRM platforms such as HubSpot, SharePoint, etc.).
Experience producing data-driven reports, dashboards, or performance summaries and presenting recommendations and findings to stakeholders.
Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex workflows and anticipate operational challenges.
Experience building and maintaining effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders in a multi-national environment.
Possess the following minimum levels of NATO's official languages (English/French): V ("Advanced") in one; and I ("Beginner") in the other.
NOTE: Most of DIANA's internal work is conducted in the English language.
DESIRABLE
The following would be considered an advantage:
Experience collaborating with NATO bodies, national defence organisations, military programmes, or government research agencies.
Experience administering or supporting grant calls, proposal evaluations, or funding review panels.
Experience working in a lab, test range, accelerator, or innovation programme.
Knowledge of NATO institutional framework, policies and procedures.
