About
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Home Care, you will provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to clients in their homes and community settings within Vermilion, Alberta and surrounding areas. You will support clients across the lifespan and contribute to promoting independence, wellness, and quality of life through community-based care. Description: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be responsible for providing nursing care to clients, residents, and families in accordance with the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). You will perform nursing interventions within your scope of practice and participate in assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation in alignment with AHS policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Comfort with driving in all road and light conditions on both highways and rural roads for travel within the service area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Connect Care experience. Home Care experience greater than 1 year (New Grads welcome to apply). Lower Leg Assessment and Compression Education. Knowledge of the CCHSS. Palliative Care experience.
