About

About Us:
GeologicAI is a Calgary-based start-up developing and deploying exciting new technologies for the energy and mining sectors. We build nifty geological robots that scan rocks, train AI to analyze the scan data, and make fancy software that makes all our results incredibly useful for finding and extracting natural resources. We are well-funded and growing rapidly and looking for amazing people to join our team.
We're a fast-growing well-funded company working on interesting products that are making difference to the world. Our products and services are helping find the hydrocarbons that power our world today, and the metals and minerals required for the energy transition of tomorrow.
Role Overview
This role provides hands-on technical support for our multi-sensor geological core-scanning systems. You will execute engineering checkouts, verify system performance, validate upgrades, and assist with quality-control workflows across hyperspectral, XRF, LiDAR, mechanical, and electrical subsystems.
You will also support field deployments, contribute to documentation, and close the loop between engineering, manufacturing, and operations by reporting issues and helping improve designs and processes.
This is a strong fit for someone who is mechanically inclined, methodical, curious, and comfortable working with complex instrumentation.

Support remote diagnostics (logs, telemetry, QC images, health reports).
Prepare and ship critical components or repair kits.
Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis for field failures.
Continuous Improvement
Identify recurring issues and propose design, process, or documentation improvements.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and R&D teams on corrective actions.
Help refine QC procedures, test jigs, checklists, and acceptance criteria.
Participate in engineering change processes and prototype evaluations.
Documentation & Process Discipline
Create and update SOPs, checklists, and QC forms.
Maintain accurate logs of all test results and maintenance actions.
Contribute to engineering knowledge bases and troubleshooting guides.
Assist in version-controlled documentation workflows (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, etc.).
Qualifications:
Technical Background
Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering technology, mechanical/electrical engineering, geology with instrumentation experience, or similar.
