  The Opportunity  
 

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Regulatory & Compliance Delivery Lead  to drive complex enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen Aviva Canada's risk management, regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and control discipline. 
 

As a key member of the Transformation Senior Leadership Team, you will lead cross-functional delivery of high visibility regulatory and risk programs, converting supervisory expectations into structured and actionable delivery plans. This role is essential in advancing Aviva Canada's transformation priorities while ensuring the business meets its regulatory obligations and is equipped with sustainable, future ready capabilities. 

 
 
What you'll do  
 
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of regulatory and risk-related programs and initiatives 
  • Translate regulatory requirements and supervisory guidance into clear implementation roadmaps
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Business Units, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Technology 
  • Ensure initiatives align with evolving regulatory expectations and internal governance standards 
  • Maintain strong executive-ready reporting and transparent escalation of delivery risks 
  • Drive sustainable enhancements in control effectiveness and operational resilience 
  • Support audit readiness, documentation standards, and regulatory evidence requirements 
  • Partner with senior leaders to proactively identify regulatory risk and execution gaps 
  • Embed structured governance and disciplined program management practices across initiatives 
What you'll bring  
 
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex regulatory, risk, or compliance transformation initiatives 
  • Strong understanding of enterprise risk frameworks, regulatory change, and governance environments 
  • Experience operating in highly regulated industries with tight timelines and supervisory oversight 
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional delivery in matrixed organizations 
  • Strong program management capability 
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and constructively challenging where needed 
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into pragmatic, scalable business solutions 
  • High attention to detail with strong judgment under pressure 
  • Clear, structured communicator with strong written and verbal executive reporting capability
