About

Delightfully Simple Insurance.

Sandbox is inclusive, engaging, and growing incredibly fast, so working here is actually exciting. If you love solving complex problems, building secure cloud environments, and want your work to truly matter, this might be your next great move.

As our Business Intelligence Analyst, you'll be the go-to expert for transforming data into trusted, actionable insights. You'll partner with teams across the organization to define KPIs, design scalable data models, and build intuitive dashboards in Power BI and Domo. You'll play a key role in strengthening our enterprise BI framework, supporting governance, enabling self-service analytics, and leveraging AI-powered features to bring insights to life. Your work will directly support strategic decisions, operational improvements, and innovation across Sandbox.

WHY YOU'LL WANT TO BUILD WITH US

Because Sandbox really is  a sandbox—a giant playground for grown-ups who want to laugh, be creative, work dynamically, and take on new opportunities. No matter who you are, Sandbox is an extraordinarily welcoming and supportive place. And it's all because of our people.

On top of our incredible culture, we offer some pretty great perks:

  • Community Care: Two paid volunteer days each year
  • Ride into the Sunset: Defined Contribution pension plan with 6% employer matching

DIVE IN AND MAKE A SPLASH EVERY DAY BY:

  • Partnering with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and governance standards that drive meaningful insight
  • Building and maintaining enterprise BI framework artifacts such as data models, semantic layers, data dictionaries, and data asset inventories
  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing optimization of Domo and Power BI with strong governance, lifecycle management, and security practices
  • Performing data sourcing, cleansing, transformation, aggregation, integration, and quality validation
  • Acting as the bridge between business users and third-party vendors for reporting and analytics requirements
  • Designing and delivering dashboards, reports, and templates that promote clarity, usability, and insight
  • Leveraging AI-enabled BI features such as natural language Q&A, anomaly detection, and smart narratives
  • Leading BI showcase sessions and supporting self-service analytics enablement across departments
  • Collaborating with IT and data engineering teams to improve data integration and analytics capabilities
  • Documenting processes and promoting best practices in analytics and governance

WHAT YOU BRING TO SANDBOX:

  • Education & Experience: A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Math, Statistics, or a related field (or a Business Analysis certification such as CBAP with an approved degree/diploma), plus at least 3 years of hands-on experience in data and analytics, ideally within an Agile environment.
  • Data & Modeling Know-How: A solid understanding of databases, data integration, transformation processes, semantic layers, and modern BI architecture. You're comfortable working with large data sets and turning complexity into clarity.
  • Culture Add: Positive, collaborative, and self-motivated. You enjoy empowering others through self-service analytics and contributing to an inclusive, high-performing Sandbox culture.
  • Agile & Adaptable: Thrives in a fast-paced, iterative environment. You prioritize effectively, manage multiple commitments, and stay focused on delivering value.
  • AI-Forward Thinking: Comfortable leveraging AI-enabled BI features such as natural language Q&A, anomaly detection, and smart narratives to elevate the analytics experience.
  • Analytics Mindset: A strong foundation in statistical thinking and data-driven methodologies. You don't just build reports, you uncover insights that influence decisions.
