About
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Construction Projects to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of dental clinic construction and renovation projects across Canada. The ideal candidate has strong project management experience in commercial construction, with a preference for medical or dental environments. .
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage multiple construction or renovation projects simultaneously, from design through final delivery.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, marketing, finance, etc.) to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Conduct regular site visits and ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory regulations.
- Manage tender processes and contract negotiations.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues related to timelines, costs, or quality.
- Prepare regular progress reports for senior management.
- Manage the construction team and handle clinic requests.
- College or university degree in project management, construction management, engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years in commercial construction project management, ideally in a medical or dental setting
- Proven experience managing personnel in a team environment
- Proven experience and success in commercial construction projects via management of the internal and external team members
- Excellent knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and best practices in site management.
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Procore, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally within Canada as required (depending on project sites).
- Knowledge of the dental or medical sector is an asset.
