The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $75,700 - $99,300. The offered salary will be based on the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations.

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for an Operations, Business and Technical Analyst to support our Connected Technologies (CT) team. This is a 24-month contract opportunity and will report to the Manager of Connected Technologies (CT).

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the operational, financial, and reporting functions for Connected Technologies, ensuring accurate invoicing, reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting, and data management. They will serve as the main escalation point for operational issues, while driving process improvements, automation, and operational excellence.  The position manages key projects and cross-functional coordination with Information Services (IS), Toyota Motor North America (TMNA), and other stakeholders. They will also provide team guidance and support strategic initiatives focused on revenue visibility, data integrity, and enhanced operational efficiency.

What You'll be Doing:

High-Level Functional Responsibilities

Operations Leadership, Reporting & Reconciliation Management

  • Provide leadership and oversight of CT operational activities, including department-wide financial management, forecasting, and reconciliation processes
  • Ensure consistent operational coverage by coordinating team resources, setting priorities, and managing day-to-day workflow

Issue Management & Escalation Leadership

  • Lead triaging and resolution of operational issues such as invoice discrepancies, Connected Services Portal (CSP) errors, electronic data interchange (EDI) discrepancies, and production incidents
  • Serve as an escalation point for sustainment support, reporting needs, and in-market customer experience issues; ensure continuity through team backup structure

Budget Ownership & Financial Stewardship

  • Oversee CT Marketing & Training budget, including purchase order (PO) creation, invoicing, reconciliation, and financial record management
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on budget status, variances, and financial impacts

Project & Process Leadership

  • Drive operational project support including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning/execution, dashboard development, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) creation, and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Champion kaizen activities and operational excellence across CT workflows

Detailed Responsibilities

Operational Finance & Invoicing

  • Preparation and processing of all business-to-business telematics invoicing (e.g., SXM, Subaru, TMNA), ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Lead reconciliation and distribution of monthly and quarterly SXM invoices; guide SAP submission processes
  • Manage end-to-end Subaru invoice cycles (weekly, monthly, yearly) and maintain reconciliation with TMNA, including oversight of invoicing trackers and validation steps

Issue Resolution & Quality Control

  • Direct triage and resolution of issues such as missing invoices, EDI mismatches, CSP errors, and system discrepancies
  • Lead monthly accrual reconciliation across standard registers, CSP, GL, Subaru EDI, and other key data sources

Budget & Procurement Leadership

  • Create purchase orders (POs), oversee the requisition lifecycle, and maintain financial controls and documentation
  • Oversee the processing and validation of manual cheques and financial audit trials

Forecasting & Strategic Insights

  • Lead the preparation of quarterly forecasts, Mid-term Business Plan (MTBP) submissions, and annual budget projection
  • Oversee vehicle volume file management and ensure financial models reflect accurate business assumptions
  • Guide the transition of critical reporting (e.g., Certified Pre-Owned reports) into SQL-based automated solutions

Data, Reporting & Analytics Oversight

  • Issue and validate monthly SXM Install & SOLD reports, lead triage of missing records and VIN data gaps
  • Oversee reconciliation of EV public charging transactions (Tesla & Stripe), including fee reconciliation and invoice submission
  • Manage bi-monthly Stripe fee reconciliations and adapt team processes to evolving requirements
  • Create, improve, and maintain Jira filters, dashboards, and reporting to support operational visibility

Technical & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead resolution of renewal errors through updates to SQL scripts, reconciliation tools, and collaboration with IS & TMNA partners
  • Maintain and publish bi-monthly Revenue/CT Stats; ensure data accuracy and narrative clarity
  • Represent CT Operations in CT Marketing & Training meetings, providing financial updates and maintaining budget records

Team & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Facilitate and drive weekly CT-IS and Open Systems meetings; manage incident queues and Jira CMS tickets
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and operational coverage for CT team members as needed
  • Manage CT operational coverage (Customer Relations and Dealer Connected Services Support) in cooperation with TCI PQSS for team member vacations and holidays

Strategic & Transformational Initiatives

  • Lead and contribute to CT initiatives including Revenue Dashboard development, end-to-end process flow mapping, and reducing unallocated GL cash
  • Drive strategic workstreams such as data cleansing, CT operational flow redesign, and providing deeper data-driven insights to support pricing strategy

What You'll Bring:

  • University Degree/College Diploma in Business or related fields
  • 2+ years of work experience in a technology product-focused role
  • Experience using SAP and Infostream
  • Demonstrated customer service, analytical & problem-solving skills (technical & business)
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities - results-oriented, proactive and self-starter
  • Comfortable operating in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with constantly changing and high-demand priorities
  • Comfortable with technology and technical issues with an ability to translate into non-technical terms
  • Ability to foster productive relationships with internal and external partners
  • Ability to travel on occasion
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
