About

Company Overview
We're a lean, data-driven eCommerce team that thrives on performance and creative experimentation. Operating across multiple product categories and platforms, we specialize in scaling brands through compelling content, sharp copy, and high-converting creatives. Every idea we launch is backed by testing, metrics, and iteration. If you're energized by direct response marketing, love a good A/B test, and want your creative work to drive revenue — you'll feel right at home with us.
Role Overview
We're looking for a project-based Direct Response Copywriter with 3+ years of experience writing for e-commerce brands. This contract-based role is perfect for someone who can jump in, own projects end to end, and create high-performing copy using a mix of human creativity, product insight, and AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude AI.
You'll be responsible for crafting landing pages, email sequences, ad copy, and more — all grounded in detailed product research and optimized to convert. If you're fluent in persuasive storytelling and data-driven messaging, we'd love to collaborate with you on a high-impact project.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct deep product research to identify compelling USPs and unique mechanisms
Write landing pages, ads, and email campaigns that convert across eCommerce platforms
Use AI tools like Claude AI and ChatGPT to improve speed and efficiency without compromising quality
Analyze performance data and A/B test different messaging angles
Collaborate with design and marketing to ensure aligned visuals and copy
Deliver polished, research-backed copy assets on time and optimized for impact
Project KPIs
Deliver a 10% uplift in landing page conversions
Identify and integrate 3–5 unique USPs or mechanisms per product
Reduce editing time by 25% through strategic use of AI tools
Ensure all copy assets are performance-focused and ready for launch
Success in This Role Looks Like
  • You deliver clear, persuasive, research-driven copy that meets or exceeds conversion goals
  • You bring new creative angles and fresh hooks grounded in real product and customer insight
  • You use AI tools to streamline your writing process, not replace your creative thinking
  • You're able to work independently, meet deadlines, and hit project milestones confidently

Required Skills & Qualifications
eCommerce-focused copywriting experience
Direct response copywriting background (Gary Halbert, Dan Kennedy, etc.)
Strong research and product positioning skills
Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, etc.)
Understanding of customer psychology and purchase behavior
Strong attention to detail and proven ability to write high-converting copy
Nice-to-Have Skills
Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon, or other eCommerce platforms
Experience analyzing ad/campaign data for copy optimization
Previous freelance or contract experience in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
Who Should Apply?
Apply if you:
  • Know how to turn product research into sharp, conversion-driven copy
  • Love working independently and delivering great results under tight deadlines
  • Have a strong portfolio that shows real-world impact
  • Are confident using AI tools to enhance (not replace) your writing process
Do not apply if:
  • You are a non-native English speaker without fluency in persuasive written copy
  • You have no direct response experience
  • You have never used AI tools for writing or workflow improvement
