About

You turn POTENTIAL into LEADERS.

The Opportunity

In this developmental and hands-on leadership role, you'll build the skills and experience required to step into a future Supervisor position within Registry Member Services. As a Registry Supervisor in Training, you'll work closely with the Manager, Registries Business Operations and current Supervisors to gain progressive exposure to operational excellence, financial management, team leadership, and member service delivery standards.

You'll support Centre Operations while learning how to execute strategic plans, monitor performance, and maintain compliance with Alberta Registries and AMA policies and procedures. Through mentorship and practical application, you'll strengthen your ability to coach teams, interpret performance metrics, manage operational processes, and contribute to a high-performing, member-focused environment.

If you're motivated to grow your leadership capability while continuing to deliver exceptional member experiences, this role offers a clear pathway forward.

Building on a century of proud service in Alberta communities, we're passionate about making a meaningful difference in the places where we live and work. And that all begins with our people. As part of the AMA team, you'll enjoy:

  • Flexible benefits with 5 different packages to select, ranging from $1000 - $3000 health and wellness spending accounts.
  • Outstanding employer-paid Retirement Savings Plan (5% AMA contribution + 5% AMA matching)
  • Great AMA discounts like 50% off memberships, driver education programs, and registry services.
  • Unlimited learning opportunities, including full Udemy access and dedicated learning time for personal development.
  • Paid time off, including 3 weeks of vacation, Me-Day, and Volunteer Day. Also, the flexibility to purchase 1 or 2 weeks' vacation time spread across multiple pay periods.

Who You Are

  • Motivated to grow into a formal leadership role and committed to developing supervisory skills.
  • Service-focused with strong business acumen and an understanding of operational performance.
  • Confident learning and applying Alberta Registries and AMA policies and procedures.
  • Comfortable coaching others and providing constructive feedback.
  • Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A clear communicator who builds strong relationships across teams.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Shadow and support Supervisors in monitoring sales and service targets to understand operational performance and financial results.
  • Assist in reviewing monthly financial reports, participating in budget discussions, and supporting forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to business planning efforts that improve revenue and cost efficiency.
  • Learn and apply Alberta Registries and AMA policies to ensure compliance and operational excellence across all business units.
  • Support implementation of operational protocols, process improvements, audits, and quality assurance activities.
  • Assist in resolving member concerns and escalated issues while promoting a positive, welcoming environment.
  • Observe and practice coaching techniques to enhance member interactions and service quality.
  • Support team communications, recognition initiatives, and staff development activities.
  • Participate in career development discussions and reinforce performance expectations.
  • Some travel required throughout Calgary, Medicine Hat and Lethbridge.
  • Complete assigned leadership learning modules and report progress to leadership.
