About
We have an exciting opportunity for a Forklift Operator at our Boston, Massachusetts facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move materials throughout our warehouse. Your skill in handling equipment and attention to Safety are essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and inventory management processes.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Safely transport products and goods to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any defects or maintenance needs immediately.
- Ensure materials are handled correctly to prevent damage and maintain inventory integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including put-away and retrieval.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse team members to meet operational goals.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operation and Safety standards.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and occasional overtime.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
