Job Summary:
We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our busy logistics facility in Houston, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include receiving and stocking incoming goods, transporting materials to production or shipping areas, and maintaining inventory accuracy. A strong commitment to safety is essential; you will be required to follow all safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting and operating material handling equipment. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and stock incoming materials and inventory.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies) safely and efficiently.
  • Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse.
  • Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
  • Ensure proper labeling and organization of stored materials.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Support the overall logistics operations of the warehouse.
  • Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
  • Participate in team efforts to meet operational goals.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse/logistics role is required.
  • Proven ability to operate various material handling equipment safely.
  • Ability to perform rigorous physical tasks, including frequent and heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety principles and PPE usage.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed.
