Seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our Indianapolis, Indiana facility. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect items for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Stage received goods for appropriate department or storage.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all company safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Support the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and PPE.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable and punctual.
