About
Our Washington, D.C. facility is seeking a precise and organized Receiving Clerk to join our operations. This role is fundamental to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring the smooth flow of goods into our warehouse. You will be responsible for meticulously processing incoming shipments, verifying contents against orders, inspecting for damages, and accurately documenting all received items. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to adhering to Safety protocols are essential. If you have prior experience in a warehouse environment and possess excellent organizational skills, this is an ideal opportunity to contribute to our efficient Logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments and inspect for any damage or discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
- Accurately record all received inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Tag, sort, and stage items for appropriate put-away or distribution.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies promptly to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe receiving area.
- Strictly follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as directed.
- Support the overall efficiency of our Logistics operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or similar role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE .
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Understanding of basic warehouse and Logistics principles is beneficial.
